I bought this with the intention of giving it to my dad. I presented to him but he said he was happy with his swatch that I bought him for Christmas 15 years ago. He gave me a hug and thanked me for the gesture but would not take the watch. I knew when I bought it that he might not take it so not a total surprise. I am going to enjoy wearing it.

Date discs on many Omegas of that era are made of plastic. The internal teeth chip. When that happens, the calendar does what yours is doing. Replacing the disc is the only cure. Replacement NOS plastic ones are hard to find. I recently read that after market metal discs are available. No idea how to locate either. The last one I found for an Omega of mine, I found on eBay. It came from a collector in Mannheim, Germany.

The date wheel tooth are complete and intact. My watchman once said the date wheel slightly moves because it doesn't have spring which hold the wheel tight???

Hi Ssunnylee24,
I had also FOIS and it was very often magnetised. Maybe you have the same problem....
