(Late) lunch time! Busy day = no real food. Oh yeah and blah blah blah Speedy Tuesday blah blah blah...
always fascinated by how different this feels after wearing a more "traditional" speedy pro for a few days...
Wally Schirra was a test pilot, so the watch that honors his CK2998 seemed an appropriate choice for my task of ferrying a freshly repaired plane back home. Plus, it's Speedy Tuesday after all.
"Speeding"to Abilene today. One stop was to a newly discovered ... wait for it ... watch shop. Saw a C-Case Connie, stainless with champagne dial and day/date feature, a keen looking Mido Powerwind in its 35mm stainless steel case, a circa 1950 Omega Automatic with center second hand (351 movement perhaps?), and a 1940s (?) Hamilton 992B. Dial was exactly like this example and I believe the case was like this one as well. Can't recall what this style of dial is called but it was cool. Felt my inner Mad Dog calling on me to take it home.
