The crown seems to be a replacement unit but you could source an original one quite easily.

Mine says hi.

Nice, we're on the same page today! Mine is a 2nd-series example with the 15.26 movement. Also no military engraving and pencil hands. And also the wrong crown! Did you have a specific suggestion to find a correct crown?

@Buck2466 is driving me crazy, showing his pair (PAIR!) of mint 1016s he acquired recently, so I had to dig mine out. Haven’t worn it in a long time.

It’s such a comfortable watch and just the right size too.

Well here is the recent arrival once more, probably one of the best 'chuckles per £' pieces I have ever purchased.
Size (42mm) weight ? etc. etc. all just seems to work although perhaps not to everyones taste but such is life 👍

Heck, I love it. The lume looks like you could light the M6 motorway on a foggy night...😉
