I get a kick out of Smiths watches. Their styling seems so period English. They have a look all their own. If I determined to go off on a Smiths collecting tangent I'd have 'em all. This is the only one I've ever seen outside of the UK and it's deep in the heart of Texas. Smiths never really opened up a market in Texas. Shame really. I like 'em though and I've even got a book.

The local citizenry: “Mad Dog, why do you take so many pictures of your modern Moonwatch?”

Mad Dog: “It’s a good watch...AND...I need to take advantage of the “wet asphalt” background.”

That’s exactly what I wanted, but limited funds forced me in the direction of a doer-upper Ultra-Chron... anyway, great pickup

I was so close to buying an Ultra Chron on a few occasions. As mentioned great design elements! Beautiful 70’s Diver indeed!

Hmmm I see a pattern here....😁

Lol - I love me some vintage divers on steel!! 🙄
