This one has been feeling neglected. Haven’t worn it for a year or so. Caliber 341, circa early 1950s. This one is a survivor. Condition when it came to me was such that many would have considered it as a donor, useful only for parts. Gold shell case on it was destroyed. Beyond doing anything with. Dial was equally bad. A quick check in my stash, and I discovered that I had a steel case, and much better dial. With a hand-made case clamp, new mainspring, recondition, replace sad hour hand, non-genuine crown, and voila. Here is the result. An excellent runner. Considering the terrible abuse it had endured, I was delighted that the movement survived in quite good condition.

Wow, I love that deal. Would love to have one for my 500 which is a Redial.

Enjoying my garden along with mine 145.012-67 😀

If your wrist dwarfs a Speedy, I think the time might be ripe for a Panerai...

I’ve got to share this with OF, even though it’s not really ready to be worn around yet. Just arrived!

All it’s missing is a hang tag! And yes, I have a better bezel for it too.

And this SeaMaster has a helium escape valve in case you get caught in a room full of helium, next week we will discuss how to convert meters to feet by using your SeaMaster
