First time I have posted in quite a while....cuz it is the same old watch and I have been busy with other things, including a family drama, on the downside and it is finally baseball season, on a positive note. Actually using the chrono as it was intended. The 30 mins and 55 secs elapsed time showing was for my 2 mile walk this morning over icey conditions, so a bit slower than it has been. Over 10 yrs ago I did some major back damage and went from weighing 170 and lifting six days a week....having abs and everything, to weighing 216 just recently and a pot belly and a 36 inch waist. Finally was given some back exercises I can comfortably do and over the last 3 months it has strengthened and I am more active. I have cut out desserts and have been walking for a few days. I am down to 210. Not a big deal, but I feel better and I am working on the weight issue. Thanks for slogging through this. McK
I'm alarmed. Over the first half of April we made back-to-back 860-mile trips from west central Texas to Nashville Tennessee in order to fetch our middle granddaughter home for a week with us. Thought to try out this Favre Leuba Sea Bird alarm for the back-to-back road trips. The watch had been acquired last year. The alarm watch is a fun and convenient travel addition.
I thought my arm needed some exercise today, so I took out the heavyweight ...... This has been with me for over 12 years and I love it.
My Seamaster arrived in the post today, so happy Monday I wanted it to meet the Genève before taking the G in to have the power reserve sorted out. (Yes, I was aware of this when buying the watch, that’s why the seller dropped the price so much) Seeing as I bought both watches from a member of this forum, I reckon I’ve got a pretty much solid base for the start of my collection and the initial itch is cured ..... for now at least
Congrats! The 2447 is drop-dead gorgeous. I’m hoping to get my hands on a CS3111—the first re-edition of the 2447—since it’s a little more within my budget.
