My GMT Master II 16710 has been getting some extended wrist time lately, but inevitably, the wind shifts and so does my watch taste. So.... Back to the Speedy co-axial.

The Masters is over so I switched back to my Omega. I actually put it on yesterday in the hope the Rory would make a charge and win. P Reed played great and deserved the win though!

Back to the SMPc for a few days. This watch never ceases to impress me for sheer readability - with only an unobtrusive date complication, and with that wonderful dial contrast, it takes only a mere glance to read the time.

I really like the round applied markers. My SMP has painted lume. Applied markers take things to the next level to me.

I love that blue dial tried to get one but ended up with regular blue

when will they be ready to sell?
That's a good question, sir...

At this point, I don't know. I'd super accurately estimate that I'd need to repeat the AWCI introduction to watchmaking course at least 27 times...you know...to get myself up-to-speed regarding ability, efficiency and confidence. I believe the AWCI only offers the introduction to watchmaking course [at their HQ near Cincinnati, OH] twice a year...so after crunching the numbers, that means I won't be ready to start on the first "for sale" Mad Dog Flieger Special for 13.5 years. 😲

@Mad Dog s daughter’s was perfect. She will end up making and running a the Flieger watch company. The company will become the epitome of quality and the gold standard all others will be measured by. In yr 2068, she will release a Mad Dog 50th re-issue complete with his scratch and new symbol.

Ummm...I'm not too sure how long the company will last...currently, the plan is to pay each customer $5 to acquire each watch.

Picked this guy up almost 5 months ago now....been meaning to post but never quite got around to it. I was never too fond of the BOR bracelets aesthetically, but it is actually incredibly comfortable on the wrist and looks a lot better when your looking down on it. Pretty sure it came with the wrong end-links (11s) for the dog leg (legged?) lugs so I plan to sub those out eventually, but I'm happy with it....first shot is from the day I got it, second is how I'm wearing it now. Cheers.

Changing into leather straps (watch came with rubber straps) for a different look.

Top shows strap from JPM (Bulang & Sons supplier) in 21mm x 18mm. Strap below comes from EIEI Watch Straps in 22mm x 20mm.

I completely forgot about that Solar Impulse watch until you flashed yours. Nice.
