@larryganz looks awesome, congrats.

Thanks! I took the money from selling the Silver Snoopy and the black Explorer II, and paid off the new furnace and hot water heater in feb, and our huge tax bill last week, and used the remainder to pick up this one in their place. So i didn't do too badly.

Morning sunlight on the 1016. It is funny how your tastes evolve. I used not like metal bracelets or Rolex, but this combination and also on my 16750, really is fantastic. Rolex make a great bracelets! (I am sounding like a sad Rolex fanboi now ;( )

Back in the good old days, that was the only way.
yep, I recall being led astray by one of my mountaineering friends to head up there at 2am. It was a blast

I can neither confirm nor deny having done likewise in my youth. I'm glad they legitimized it through BridgeClimb though, as our niece would never have accompanied me last year if it weren't for all the safety gear - I had a hard enough time convincing her as it was (as evidenced by the nervous smile.)

New battery , a band clean and it’s back doing wrist time again. A smaller watch for gentler days.

That’s the Omega Barenia leather NATO...I believe it’s currently called the Omega Novonappa leather NATO. When I first purchased it from a local Omega AD approximately three years ago, it was very orange in color [sort of like a Hooters orange]...so I darkened it to a darker brown with mink oil. 👍

Before darkening with mink oil on purchase day approximately three years ago...

After darkening with mink oil and after approximately three years of wear...

Wow. Great job on that. Looks really good. I like the style of the strap too. Quite unique. Thanks for sharing.
