I joked about our mild winter and the weekend ended with record low temperatures.

Two days in a row with yesterday’s Church watch...and yesterday’s Church clothes...due to laziness on my part. :D

Having a swell time at Apple School today...winding yesterday’s Church watch.

Is much more interesting than Apple Watch, yes? Lovely piece.

Did you ever notice how much planned obsolescence is prevalent at Apple? My wife’s generation 1 Apple mini needed a new carry caddy. I went to the Apple store to buy one. Steve Jobs would have given the employee a gold star for the song and dance he gave me regarding how a caddy for the latest generation wouldn’t fit hers. I went to a favourite store, and found a perfect caddy that fits all Apple minis perfectly. I guess their main aim is to sell me a new Apple mini! What an outfit!

So... @Mad Dog ... where do you get the straps for your pocket watches. They're about as plentiful as rocking horse manure and honest politicians up here... and it is how Dad wore his Hamilton back on the steam engines!

That said.... its a wrist watch kinda day. (1944 USN Elgin)

    Thanks, sir.

Well...I found out the battery that’s in my new iPad Pro is not replaceable...you have to buy a whole new iPad. The Apple store folks said that by the time the battery turns to poop, I’ll need a new iPad anyway. So...I whipped out my 23j Elgin Veritas 376 and waived it [gently] in their faces...“No battery required for this machine...it’s over 100 years old...works like a champ!” :D

Another start to the week in another hotel room.

Tomorrow will be an episode of the construction industry's version of the cold war. Initial meeting with a client to discuss a problem neither believes is their responsibility. Everyone will be polite and will play their cards very close to the vest. I'm ready:
