I was outdone at work today! one of the guys at work, knowing my addiction to watches says " here, I brought in my grandad's watch for you to look at" I expected one of the usual: a 1920s 12 size American pocket watch in poor condition but NO! We got this! An Irish made (Dublin) silver pair cased verge with a fusee from the mid 1770s.... and the friggin thing is running! WOW!!! and all that scroll work... the pretty piecing of the balance cock... all hand done!
