Good morning today is a great day for me I just got the results of my bone marrow biopsy and the watch gods were looking after me I’ve got a blood disorder that can be managed with treatment. so thanks to the forum for the support I’ve received this is really a great place to hang out.....I’ve heard it said on this forum that the seiko 5 saves live’s so here’s mine...

This is good news. Celebrate with a new watch! Not that you need an excuse to do so. 👍

Seiko is on my list also one of these days.

Back at work on a Monday morning. Nothing gold....nothing terribly valuable. Hamilton A-506 if I remember correctly, from about '69. Because of those times and the dial, I just call her "Black Panther".

Love that strap! It doesn't look like a Journe strap, love the way it dresses down the watch. May I know where you got the strap made? thanks in advance @cpl !

1965 Grand Seiko 5722-9990 with 5722A movement and chronometer dial. The later 5722B watches drop the chronometer designation because of the lack of certification facilities in Japan at that time. Thus, the more rigorous "Grand Seiko" designation was born.

Great score! It's a very versatile watch (friend has one) - formal in a black strap, casual in brown - and those lugs are so cool!
