Beloved and faithful Seiko 6309-7049 automatic [my first dedicated flying watch purchased new during Navy primary pilot training in 1987] for my last flight in the MD-88 today...getting a little misty eyed...I'm going to miss the old MD-88/90...she's a good bird...built to last. 👍

Have you been reassigned? What's next?

Fini Flight!!!! Are you going to run the jet through the fire truck sprinklers and have the cops run code and sirens!?!?
It's not my fini flight [retirement flight], sir...it's just my final flight in the MD-88/90 [or so the flight schedule says]...I've got somewhere between 7 - 12 years before my fini flight [retirement flight] at Delta. So...no fire truck sprinklers and/or LEO cherries & berries today. Also, from what I understand, a retiring pilot has to pay for the fire truck sprinklers and/or LEO cherries & berries now...at least at CVG they do. I'm not sure what the fee is...but I'd rather be presented with a Dunkin' Donuts Box O' Joe...hold on...make that TWO Dunkin' Donuts Boxes O' Joe. 😁

A friend just bought this one, and I had to try it on. I thought it would be too big for my wrist (6.7 in.), but surprisingly, it fit pretty nicely:
