Patiently waiting [and protecting the eyeball units] regarding the eclipse-o-rama evolution with the Elgin B.W. Raymond machines [571 and 494 respectively]...
So I decided to bring only my Hamilton to Italy and I haven't been disappointed. The dial is simple and easy to read, while the Heuerville strap gives it a playfully sporty feel. Today was spent in Sorrento, lovely place and a real hit with the family! Stopped for some classic line refreshment. Chiostro San Francisco, one of my wife's 'must-see' places, it met the expectation! While walking down a random street we stumbled on this amazing place... This scenery may not speak to everyone, but I find this stunning to see. The rich history in old European buildings are so cool to see!
I set up a telescope on top of the parking structure next to my office building. Ninety seconds before the eclipse began... Locked & loaded... Co-workers gather for a look near the time of local maximum (62.6% eclipse at our location)... A through-the-eyepiece, cell phone shot about 1-hr. after local maximum; notice the sun spots in the centre of the disk.
