The kids gave me this for my B'day today! I'm very lucky indeed! The Seiko bug is catching.......I'll be searching for a few vintage ones too?
Happy birthday and a great watch! The chapter ring is even aligned on yours -- which is frustratingly somewhat uncommon (mine isn't).
Aiming for some chiaroscuro today. Indoors and out. Here's what one can get--quickly--with a phone camera.
Wore this today: While I got this one - a 1971 350 SL. Very low serial number: In the first pic it looks like there is some uneveness above the rear wheel arc but it is just a reflection. 92000 km. Fully documented car. Few owners and always garaged. Has not seen winter or salt. Got to change the "limp dick" exhaust tips for straight ones. The first years had straight - later ones "limp".
love this simple old geneve. what first caught my eye was that it had its original, integrated, omega bracelet (1186/215), which is very comfortable, btw. and its extra long so it fits my 8.5in wrist! and the aging/patina on the dial-love it. many would find it 'damage/junk', but i love it. came for the bracelet, stayed for the watch!
Currently at the layover motel in Houston, TX...and I'm NOT wearing my c. 1933 railroad grade 23j Elgin B.W. Raymond [with wind indicator!]...because I'm going to the motel fitness center...to [pretend to] get fit...so I put my Elgin in the motel room safe...with my stinky work boot...
