I took the advice of fellow forum member @ConElPueblo and put a somewhat more refined strap on the 4402-8000...looking fancy :whistling:

8 mins 17 secs to start line. Used bearing compass to get a fix on wind shift.
Radioed start committee to lodge protest re boat on port stern ramming.
Rigging knife ready if jib sheet jams
    Facts.
Sitting in lanai 30 Klm from water.
Timing nothing! Just wanted to push the button.
Bearing on Wind shift is large gumtree down in the park.
Listening to port of Brisbane giving instructions to ships in channel.
Ramming incident is the wife giving me a smack over the ear and telling me to act my age.

Cool sports cars and even aircraft share the spotlight on this thread, but allow me to share a pic of yours truly at the controls of a Chinese motorized tricycle taxi!!! YaY!!! Location: Huainan, China. (Not Hainan)

I think the hand covers are to keep the road dust off. Certainly not to keep warm this time of year
    trike 4 IMG_6848.jpg
With 2 benches in the back, this thing hauled 6 adults (myself included), 3 kids, plus the driver up some pretty hilly off-road terrain... 10 people!
trike 3 inside IMG_6844.jpg I'm wearing the Speedmaster Solar Impulse HB-SIA. In addition to the GMT feature, I like it for trips like this because of the large size/legibility, yet light weight Ti that doesn't get annoying on the wrist after long travel days. Also excellent lume, and good-enough 100m WR.

Note the sweat coming through my shirt from sitting in the back in the heat...

Home and enjoying a little brown Sunday blues. Skies, bezels, a little Miles Davis …all of it.

    IMG_2583.JPG

And not taking a second or an ounce of it for granted.
