I know it's not very glamorous, but this Oris has the nicest blue dial and a super smooth crown wind.

New arrival, circa 1960, and a new python strap:

I have a 'thang' for alarm watches, own a few of them, but this one is the one that sounds the most like a bell ringing, which I do love!

WOW. That is gorgeous! Do you know the reference? Also... if nobody else has dibs...

You're the first!

No, I don't know the reference, but I believe it's from the first generation of Girard-Perregaux alarm watches.

You'll find a few right now on the bay in not quite as good a condition, but close. And @DTMwatch has a later generation one (reference 8999) in great condition for sale on another forum. Send him a PM here.

I almost bought his, but then opted for this older one with the blue alarm numerals...

Here's a shot of my gorgeous new Cosmic by way of @GeorgeT11. Lovely watch that has been gaining some notice in public! Nice addition to my growing Omega collection... even though I don't have one for Tuesday...yet!

Well... I think I'm on a bit of a better-half-imposed moratorium on watch purchases for the near future anyways, based on my acquisition history over the last few months, so maybe I shouldn't even look at eBay/other forums. I agree that the blue alarm numerals are stellar - maybe by the time you get sick of yours (if ever) I'll be back in the watch buying good graces. But then again I may just take a look around anyways...🙄

WOW what a very elegant looking time piece and it will remind you when that next watch is ending...🥰
