I have owned some speedy pros thru the years. Always the "standard" version and I have always sneered at the (endless) limited variants. But when I got to handle one of these I quickly realized I had to have one.
here they come yo here they come this or that? (can anyone here train spot the track?) *no spots, huh? it's 22 years old so not exactly "newfangled". It's recognized as one of the top songs in the most successful music movement in 50 years.
Thanks. These are pretty chunky and solid-feeling cases... they didn't skimp on the 18k with this one. The stainless steel version can be found without too much effort, but the de luxe "tortue" is rare... don't know the production numbers, but Rössler says something like "only a few were made." I've seen a handful on the web. And there's one on the cover of Von Osterhausen's Wristwatch Chronometers... not sure if that bracelet is original: Many consider Zenith a two-trick pony (El Primero and cal 135), but some of their smaller tricks are pretty good. . They made many chronometer-rated movements in addition to the cal 135, such as the 2542 PC inside this one.
Around here they just lay around in heaps... Well, I have actually sold one gold and one steel. It started to look like an obsession...
