I think I messed up...I just tried on a SpeedMaster for the first time (at a Sam's Club no less as there are not any ADs in Louisiana) and now I think I've caught the fever. Apparently you have to try one on to get it!! It appears someone in the Sales forums may get some of my money soon...

And apologies for posting here (as I'm not wearing so much as trying on) but I didn't want to start "yet another SpeedMaster" thread!! Carry on...

I'm merely the caretaker... my dad had a massive stroke in 2009, and has an advanced and aggressive form of Alzheimer's so has been in a full care nursing home since 2012... my mum just feels happier that the one Watch nerd in the family keeps it safe. 😉

Tough situation with your dad. Has to be a strain on the family. I'm living something similar with my mom. Sucks balls indeed.

Back to the Sturmanskie Gagarin (3707131). I have to say, a Hadley Roma nylon strap really accentuates the no-nonsense, utilitarian vibe of the watch!
