Mad Dog
路My husband has a special love for WWII watches, especially the Elgin and Hamilton canteens. I think he has 7 Elgins and 3 Hamiltons. Great pieces of history. I like them also because they are small.
I haven't seen a canteen in the metal yet...it's interesting that you state that they're small...so I'm really looking forward to seeing a canteen in the metal at some point in the future. 馃憤
EDIT ADDITION: If @corn18 chimes in that he was issued a watch...I'll flip out. I was year group '87 and he was year group '88...so I'm guessing he wasn't issued a watch either...but then again I was AOCS and he was USNA...so who knows. 馃槈 I know @ChuckMK23 wasn't issued a watch and he was year group '86 (NROTC)...and we have cried in our Dunkin' coffee cups regarding the fact that we weren't issued watches. 馃檨 Now...If I were a betting man, I'd bet @JFingers was issued a flipping Rolex...because he is USAF...and everybody knows those USAF dudes/dudettes get all the cool stuff. 馃憤
