Ready for one of my favorite days of NFL football. The stakes are high (winners go to the Superbowl), without all the media hype and ad distractions. YaY!
I'm envious of your husband regarding his WWII watches. I don't have any mil watches...and the fact that during the mid 1980s when I entered military service (USN), we weren't issued a watch (see pic below)...so I have mil watch envy. I haven't seen a canteen in the metal yet...it's interesting that you state that they're small...so I'm really looking forward to seeing a canteen in the metal at some point in the future. EDIT ADDITION: If @corn18 chimes in that he was issued a watch...I'll flip out. I was year group '87 and he was year group '88...so I'm guessing he wasn't issued a watch either...but then again I was AOCS and he was USNA...so who knows. I know @ChuckMK23 wasn't issued a watch and he was year group '86 (NROTC)...and we have cried in our Dunkin' coffee cups regarding the fact that we weren't issued watches. Now...If I were a betting man, I'd bet @JFingers was issued a flipping Rolex...because he is USAF...and everybody knows those USAF dudes/dudettes get all the cool stuff.
