So I finally got one of my grail watches on Monday ( I actually grabbed 2 but that's another story) and began wearing it today. It's incredible. Everything I'd hoped for...

New acquisition. I have wanted one for a while but I wasn't sure about the size, and on the wrist it is big... but it works cause it is meant to be big and bold.

Mine, slightly modified and beaten on, says hi.

Nice! Positive display conversion?
Yes. I could never warm up to the negative display so I swapped a positive unit into this one. I wound up with a new black unit (with the negative display) and the green with the positive. My buddy liked the other, so he has it.

It requires going inside the electronics and unplugging a delicate (to my five thumbed hands) wire. Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward.

I am contemplating doing the same, but turning on auto Iight works for now.

I definitely think the module swap is the way to go vs. bezel swap if I ever go that route.

If I had my old eyesight back I would have left it alone, as I like the appearance of the negative display. I just couldn't get used to always, or almost always using the light. When I'm in my office I usually have my reading glasses on so it wasn't a problem there. I just never wear that watch when I'm going to be in the office full time.

Anyway, I like the look and function of this G-shock, and it wasn't all that complicated to make the swap out.
