This is one of my favorite "beater" watches. I acquired it about 35 years ago. Still going as strong and accurate as when it was brand new. These inexpensive Seiko-ALBA watches never stop amazing me.

Another in a miserable wet string of days. No sailing, no riding and commiserating with friends about the inevitability of having to take our catamarans apart. Only saving grace is this shiny thing on my wrist. I keep trying to take it off. It refuses to go into the safe!

I don't know how to say this without it coming out like a bad pun.

I'm killing time waiting for my wife to get ready to go out for dinner. I went through the ticking inventory for something dressy but casual and keeping with my Simple Saturday. I found this Elgin railroad watch. I hadn't worn it in a while because I didn't like the boring strap attached to it. I mounted it on this rather gnarly croc and I think it works okay.

This Landeron chronograph...
