Strapped this 3711 on for my last day of work before a well deserved vacation....Had to use the flash...A sign of the fading light of late summer unfortunately.
Please join me in celebrating 50 years since the very first airing of the first Star Trek episode on broadcast TV. September 8th, 1966. A co-worker dug these out and asked if I could get them going again. Luckily, the batts had not leaked and they started right up with new ones. My only payment?...permission to let me post here, of course! The pusher at 2:00 on this one causes the Star Trek opening theme to play! Darn thing has 3 batteries because of this. I didn't see the 3rd one at first, and had to make a second run to the store... Note how the Starship Enterprise furturistically floats above the dial as the running second hand. Live long and prosper!
My original thought was that you showed a 150th titanium Seamaster with changed hands but now I see that the bezel is brushed = normal ti Seamaster (for those not familiar with these - 150th has shiny bezel inlay). I do love the grey 150th dial in a normal ti Seamaster but I would have stayed with the original ti Seamaster sword hands. That is for me the optimum semi-modern Seamaster. I am not very much for the engraving on the 150th case or the shiny bezel - but that dial! Mmmm...
Keeping it in the family today with my Hamilton 992 from my Uncle Jim and my father's Hamilton Ross...
This one today. Likely coming to the FS Forum soon. As one esteemed member put it "A funky, chunky watch with a classic movement (Val 23)". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
