Reveille! Speedy Tuesday! Headed to the gym to do the "Hans & Franz"...therefore switching from the Omega replica NASA band to the Raine protective band...
Congrats @pascs on your Apollo 15/TT BA bracelet combo! Hope you're liking it. Being the only two who I believe have done this, you've of course inspired me to wear mine! YaY!
Rainy day today, so opted for this another day. A little larger than I prefer with a suit, but it's growing on me.
Surpassing expectation! I resurrected this artifact out of a cabinet full of scrap watches, recently It had been in that bunch of stuff for over 40 years, and likely much longer. The watch I believe is from the early 1950s, and has a caliber AS 1192 bumper automatic movement in it. I had really enjoyed my Omega caliber 355 bumper I resurrected, so I decided this one might be fun to wear. There were a lot of little things wrong with it, aside from needing cleaning. I liked the look of it, and the general condition, even though it really has no pedigree. Surprise! It is running within one second per day! http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&AS_1192 (From Dr. Ranfft's archive.)
P.s.: now I know that the length of the second hand is correct (I thought it could be too short) rgds - h.u.
