This has become my go-to watch for vigorous outdoor activity, but returning home with a sweat-soaked leather strap was often the by-product of said activity. Not to worry, Hirsch Performance to the rescue!

Under that genteel leather exterior [embossed in faux-alligator for the occasional night out on the town] lies hypo-allergenic rubber with sweat-channeling slots. #MtEverestFanboy

I was browsing on the Hirsch website at those straps for my new Seamaster 300 M GMT, to replace the bling-ey bracelet.
I prefer leather straps, but this is a watch that I bought for travel and I definitely want to be able to get wet.
It sounds like you recommend these straps @Jones in LA ? Comfortable and functional?

I'm really grooving on the PloProfs...I'd really like to try one on and see how it does on my girly-man (small) wrist.

It's a surprisingly comfortable strap considering the complexity of its construction. I had the watch on a flat leather band before, and another surprise is how much presence the Hirsch band adds to a 36mm watch. The Hirsch promo literature describes the band as "sauna-proof" but I probably would not jump in a pool or the ocean with it.

    Thanks @alam :)

This Explorer is a Ref 14270 with a serial number that dates it to about 1993. Keep in mind that this is a 36mm watch, but that works OK for me as I'm narrow-wristed. After wearing this watch for a couple of days, going back to a 42mm watch feels kind of weird because it looks absurdly large.

I recently realized how "art deco" this design is after accompanying my sister to tour radiocity and the rockefeller center :coffee:
