Circa late 1956, 1st generation SeaPearl ("Sherpas" on dial, written not scripted "SeaPearl" on back, Turtle lugs).

Wears big on wrist with those cool Turtle lugs.

This is how I imagine the Swiss Everest-Lhotse expedition watches, considering the literary and advertising evidence. What is the date of production inscribed inside the case back?

And dibs!

From consulting with Enicar collectors, this is the issue just after the Expedition, taking full advantage of the Sherpas exotic name.

When I get it to my watchmaker, I will have pix of inside case back. But from my reading, there was just a small window from end of Expedition(May)to registering the Sherpas name(November) to issuing this watch. And Turtle lugs were correct for 1956. So, my guess on date is late 1956. Will post more when I can.

The 1957 models started to have Sherpa on the dial.

This is an advert in 1957 with Sherpas still the name

Dibs, duly noted馃憤

Sometimes I think I've got the hairiest wrist posting on this forum. I think I've even got @Darlinboy beat...

Imperial Venus 170 on a early 1960's expansion bracelet. Taking the missus out to dinner.
