Wearing my wedding watch. 21 years, times flies!!! I think she was 800 bucks (the watch, not the wife).
I was recently told by an unidentified astronaut about a wild night of watch tomfoolery that happen the night before their mission. After a night of consuming too many whisky sours and white Russians in the VIP suite at the Sea Missile Motel the guys got to talking about their watches. He said it got totally nuts and went off the rails with all kinds of crazy watch combos being concocted from their various watches. Then all of a sudden Al Shepard busted through the door and shut it all down. Damn near lucky they were not pulled from their mission the next day he said. Out of everything created that night this combination was one of their favorites so I thought I would try it out for the weekend. Love it or hate it I have to say it wears quite well and gives the GMT a real 60's vibe. I've even poured a bit of gin on the bracelet to give it that after party next day stickiness and smell.
