worked on one of the bikes this morning. steering head bearings on a scooter, adjust and lube..... really, how hard can it be? worse than replacing the cams on the Kawasaki Ninja it seems! half way through the job I realize I've still got the Elgin on..... dammit! the big lump in the middle? (looks like a wiper motor)...... servo motor and CPU controlled hydraulic valves to control the front suspension seriously, what the hell were they thinking!!! my son, a trained mechanic, was horrified. He said he'd seen nothing that crazy under anything he'd worked on.
Hahahahaaa! Hilarious. Me and my wife had a big laugh while driving. We might have started up a sleep master fashion wave ;-)
Spent three days in Kerrville, Texas with my wife, attending a training seminar sponsored by her office. The rose gold Longines tagged along. Bummed around both Kerrville and Fredericksburg on Saturday wearing the Speedmaster for a change. Oh no! A used bookstore! We both love reading and collecting books. Kerrville on a slow Saturday. Ice cream and coffee in Fredericksburg on the way home. A coconut ice cream malt is yum! Mrs. noelekal is wearing a 1961 Omega Ladymatic in its 18kt gold case.
Vixa Type 20, issued to the French Air Forces circa 1954. I've read that these Vixa are sometimes considered the least durable of the Type 20-21, perhaps due in part to the lack of shock protection on the German-made Hanhart caliber 40 movment. This example certainly makes a lie of that belief, with fin de garantie marks showing it was in service for nearly three decades before retirement. And still going strong today, after three decades more.
No, I'm not in the military and I am not trying to coordinate. My wife picked the Nato before I got dressed
