Wearing a favourite again, after TOO LONG! Caliber 355, date at 6:00, NOS case # 2627, circa 1950-55. Resurrected after discovering it in a parts bin, case supplied by Tritium from Madrid. The calendar is a bear to set, owing to the genuine a Omega service crown, so I only put it on when I pull it from the vault, and discover it happens to be on the correct date. One of several favourite Omegas that I own.

Hi all
I have my grandad eterna Matic 300 seven day watch here
It is all 9k bracelet and 18k face.
I think it is very rare and cannot find anyone to help me discover more about it.
Every jeweller wants to scrap it for the gold value as it weighs close to 70g.
But I want to know if it is worth reparing and servicing to sell to a collector.
Or is it just a standard watch
It was engraved in the back for him Christmas 1978 but I'm sure it is very much earlier.

Chubby hour/minute hands, lollipop sweep seconds, roulette date wheel, striking gloss black dial, rotating bezel, overall balanced layout, vintage Tropic strap....

What's not to like about this obscure French-market(?) diver?

This is more of a "what were you drinking at the time of the accident sir" than WRUW Today since I wasn't actually wearing my Globemaster while cooking.

It seems that the new GM is not only anti-magnetic and waterproof but also has the magic power to deflect red wine, which is more than can be said for my Escoffier.

I really regret selling my date-at-6!
