Today is the third day with this Excelsior Park chronograph.
I love the two color dial with expressive digits (note the crazy seven!) and the thick blued hands. However, I doubt that this particular execution was created at the factory.
Although the movement is in a bad condition the chronograph works very smoothly. The cal. EP 4 provides a special mechanism for a very snappy reset of the chronograph hands.
I gave this birth-year watch to my old man for his 75th birthday...
...but the daily winding requirement didn't agree with him, so he has traded it back to me for the one on the left, below. Fortunately, I have a back-up.
Drove down to Dallas for Mrs Flings birthday. Went to the last preseason game for the Rangers. Beautiful afternoon to go to the ballpark early and hang out.
AT Monday. One thing I absolutely hate about the Master Co-Axial execution of this particular model is the unadorned date window. It feels really unfinished...
