Dad's De Ville back from service today! Thanks to @shane0mac and the gang at European Watch Co in Boston. More pics and details will eventually come @hijack in a separate thread.
Logging some more "flight time" w/the NaviHawk..... C-130J flight back to Afghanistan.....that's United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the background.....
Here is my NASA golf shirt and something from the Oris Aviation collection. This combination will have to do until I can decide what Speedmaster speaks to me the most.
Getting ready to head out for early dinner. Changed from the 3572.50 to the Ploprof. This one wears well, does not feel as big as it looks.
The Bivouac's barometer got a workout on the flight home. Waiting to take off, at 765 mmHg. Cruising altitude of around 30,000 feet, at 577 mmHg. If I had thought to set the bezel properly, the cabin pressure would have registered as the pressure at an altitude of roughly 8,000 feet. The descent.
At Canberra Airport open day. My Connie with a distant cousin: For the various pilots here, pick these cockpits
I wore several watches today. I started off with the Seiko SRP453 with a yobokies stainless shroud. Had a chance to stop in at the Galleria today. My favorite watch store, the Omega Boutique, was closed for renovations. The Rolex boutique was entertaining. My wife picked out a Rolex Skydweller for me. She had no idea how much that one cost. I have never really looked at one of these before. It is a fascinating watch. Amazing movement. I now want one. That bezel rotates to select which function is being set by the crown. I also checked out the IWC Porto Fino with the 8 day movement at torneau. That's an interesting watch. And back to the trusty Seiko SRP453k Baby Tuna
Tried on a Seamaster at Costco today. This one's much more to my liking than one I tried on a few months ago. Gorgeous, big, and heavy. A lot bigger than my Megaquartz.
