Thanks it's my first speedmaster, looks fantastic on the wrist and I got a great deal at my local omega AD so it had to come home........
I threw this one on before light work in the yard, a 1969 ref. S8323A with cal ETA2750. I bought it for the interesting dial which, I think, is part patina, part intentional, but I could be wrong! The seller called it a 'stone dapple' dial. Perhaps ugly to some, I do like the look: Revue-Thommen was founded in Switzerland in 1853, when they first made clocks and pocket watches. The company is probably best known for its aviation instruments, and also for the 'Cricket' alarm clock.
Picked up this 2782 on eBay and finally had a chance to wear it today. Really happy with the condition of the watch.
Thanks, it is nice when an eBay purchase exceeds your expectation. I also love unique feel of the bumper movement.
I end up changing my watches several times a day. Just one or two more I desire and a few still to sell. Trying to get a vintage and modern mix. Happy with the Ploprofs. Today the modern one.
