this picture of the little village Warloy-Baillon was taken about 1915.
One year later,the 1.of July 1916 here began one of the most cruel battles of World War I, when english and french troups began the great offensive against german divisions. There were more than 1 million dead, wounded or missed soldiers.
In this tiny village you will find a military cemetery with 857 UK,320 Australian,153 Canadian, 17 German and three unidentified burials.RIP!
