My only non Omega thanks to Alpha. Now I've worked it out, the set-o-matic system is spectacularly clever. With Crown in position 2, turn one way to advance the day, turn the other for the date. 😀

Looking good - why did I part with it 🙁

Hi Alpha,
this picture of the little village Warloy-Baillon was taken about 1915.
One year later,the 1.of July 1916 here began one of the most cruel battles of World War I, when english and french troups began the great offensive against german divisions. There were more than 1 million dead, wounded or missed soldiers.
In this tiny village you will find a military cemetery with 857 UK,320 Australian,153 Canadian, 17 German and three unidentified burials.RIP!
If you want to read a good book of this time: Im Westen Nichts Neues (Nothing new on the western front) from Erich- Maria Remarque.
Stop war all over the world!

Yes, from my collection of ww1 postcards, a very sad and thought provoking glimpse at the "Great War" - "Great" certainly not the term I would use.
