My traveling companion for a day or two... And now some light... Between meetings.... that's the East River over yonder.
Here's what I know about this watch: Eberhard & Co "Magie Noire" produced somewhere at the start of the 90's (series began in 1989 and lasted in production at least until 1995); Reference is 34006 The movement is a Cal. 12" 1873 Lemania chronograph (base to Omega's x861 series) Case in steel gold-plated 20 MI with a diameter of 40 mm. It has a hesalite crystal. Here is a fresh movement shot. Removed some grime that accumulated on the circumference of the snap-back ring.
Stowa issued WW2 German B-Uhr Navigators watch. The "mother of all pilot watches". And a very big mother it is. 55mm diameter without the 7mm wide crown. 27mm fixed lugs. Forget about shirt sleeves! Behind the beaten military exterior lies true horological beauty : Unitas chronometer grade caliber 2812 movement - it runs well within COSC to this very day! +/-3 seconds all positions.
