This one gets better looking as the day grows old, and as the years go by:

I could have posted this in the "What Did You Buy Today" thread, but that would be lying.

I sent @Alpha a message about his "For Sale" thread after his bed time on Wednesday and paid for it yesterday lunchtime. Being the superstar he is, Stuart went straight to the post office and I received it this morning. So, form the wilds of Scotland to the great metropolis of London in 18 hours - now that is what I call a first rate seller.

It is difficult to photograph this one in artificial light, but here goes:

It has slowly made its way south from Norway to Scotland and now on to London before it gets lost for ever in the black hole that is my collection and then travels a lot further South with me, later this year. One thing is for sure and that is that it will stay within this forum (at least until I have shuffled off my mortal coil.

Mick... Do you ever wear a watch twice? I don't remember seeing a repeat wear in your posts! Amazing!

That is the secret. I, for one, get bored of seeing pictures of the same watch so only tend to give a "like" to a watch once - or once every so often. The exception is if there is some witty banter to go with the picture that make me chuckle. I used to give "likes" for exceptional Speedmasters but with the recent proliferation of them, I just get confused. I am a chronograph guy but the Speedies all look the same to me - with minor variations.

Agree with the sentiment, but I'll happily Like inventive new photos of someone's watch - it becomes less about the watch itself and more about the creativity IMO 😉

Everything is relative. If I was 3 1/2 months older, they wouldn't be threatening to delay my retirement date even more.

I don't normally double-post the WRUW, but out-of-the-blue, unannounced, and all the way from Slovakia, the Flying Dutchman has just landed ::psy::!

A huge thanks goes to @jankoxxx for this beautiful watch, and the amazing custom Horween strap...👍🥰

Well, I do not want to bore the audience. Each of my photos in this thread was shot the same day and shows a watch you did not see here before, at least not in the same configuration of strap or bracelet.

And there are certainly days I do not post. Today I'm still wearing the Enicar Super Divette, eh, Sherpa Jet GMT, no new photo today.

For a long time, as a mere lurker, I used this thread as reference material. Now giving back I also add a description of the particular watch, name, reference, movement, special features, why I like it, etc., something I'm missing from most posts. On the other side, researching a watch from a photo without a caption may be fun, too.

Stay tuned, this weekend you will see a rather freaky watch.

Cheers,

Mick

Oh! that is a whole different bone of contention, having a young wife who now has to wait at least another six years before she will see some of her entitlement I sympathise, thankfully in her her case she does have an old sugar daddy to take care of her. Sorry about the delayed reply but early bedtimes are a must 😁

Hope it survives its border inspection 😗😗
It will join its mate from Norway that arrived already.
