Quadruple dogging it today with Longines Hour Angle re-edition, Hamilton 992, Seiko 6309-7049 and Illinois 706...getting ready for a Cincinnati watch GTG [my first watch GTG] tonight with @250scr...
I need the time, to the second, later today. So I set my Apollo XI commemorative edition Speedmaster, from 1989. Had it since new, and sitting here in the morning sun, it occurred to me that it doesn't really look like a 27 year-old watch!
Another day to evaluate the Sinn 156 before its owner returns from vacation. Have dressed my two other Lemania 5100s with similar straps for more group fun. Case stack-up: The Sinn (middle) tries to disguise it’s 15.6 mm with a big bubble back. The Speedy (top) favors distributing more of its 15.5 mm out the top with a bubble crystal. The Fortis attempts no such foolishness, with its unapologetic 16 mm tuna can!...with lugs only a mother could love. So am wearing the Speedy today as I contemplate… Maybe this book will help.
Unfortunately I can't feel comfortable wearing 34mm (36-37 is my minimum) so probably just a quick spin with this for something different.
It's a rare week I wear this one twice, but with a non-quickset date (that should not be changed after 8pm) I figured why not. And once I did change the date, noticed this wonderful type on the 4 anew...

Getting ready to go camping for a few days. This Seiko is getting a good amount of wrist time. I highly recommend this watch as an affordable, reliable, and great value (dare say beater) watch.
I could have posted this in the "What Did You Buy Today" thread, but that would be lying. I sent @Alpha a message about his "For Sale" thread after his bed time on Wednesday and paid for it yesterday lunchtime. Being the superstar he is, Stuart went straight to the post office and I received it this morning. So, form the wilds of Scotland to the great metropolis of London in 18 hours - now that is what I call a first rate seller. It is difficult to photograph this one in artificial light, but here goes: It has slowly made its way south from Norway to Scotland and now on to London before it gets lost for ever in the black hole that is my collection and then travels a lot further South with me, later this year. One thing is for sure and that is that it will stay within this forum (at least until I have shuffled off my mortal coil.
