It arrived this morning... so giving it a few days wrist time before it goes off to STS for a full refurb.

Seamaster 120m Quartz Plongeur De Luxe - 196.0185 (aka Jacques Mayol).

Might have to take up free diving!

I find myself wearing this often. Very comfortable...

Certainly it's my go to watch.

Enjoying the domed crystal and refractive light effect of the 376.0822. Here comparing its taller crystal profile (right) with a Moonwatch (left). Height is adjusted so both bezels are one the same plane…12 Post-it notes removed for those keeping score :).

    side 1 a IMG_2533.jpg side 2 a IMG_2535.jpg

The refractive effect is more pronounced on the .0822 as can be seen when comparing the lower part of the hour totalizers below...the 6 being quite distorted on the .0822, and not on the Moonwatch. It should be noted that the .0822 has more stuff out there on the dial’s periphery to refract. This includes the date and those minute digits inside many of the hour markers. Note the effect below on the date, 20, and 25…which the Moonwatch doesn’t have. So these overall effects add up to being significant, imo.

    Wearing the 376.0822 today. YaY!

(For the curious, .0822’s overall thickness is 15.5 mm vs 13.6 for the Moonwatch.)
