Still wearing the Hamilton Ventura I was wearing two days ago. I didn't go to see Star Wars, (or Spectre for that matter) last night. Two weeks ago, I answered a call on another MB from a collector in Los Angeles who needed a crystal for a ladie's Hamilton Vectra. I had one! Sent it, he installed, and the watch was dropped and the crystal smashed. Well, last night, I was digging around in my crystal stash for another Vectra crystal, and found I had four of them. And while I was at it, he asked me to see if I had a crystal for a Hamilton Blade, and a Hamilton Flight. I had both of those as well. Now I'm looking for an odd crystal for a mechanical Elgin digital. 90% sure I'll have that one as well. Then it's off to the post office with his parcel. The skinny one and the square one is for his Blade. The trapezoid is for his Flight, and the funny triangle one is for his wife's Vectra. I missed the movie, , boo hoo! But sometimes we gotta make these sacrifices for a brother!
Dark allmost around the clock now here in Sweden but in a couple of days it will start to get brighter again. And even if it takes several months to really notice the change in reality - psychologically it turns to the better straight away...
New arrival--Switcheroo! Threw this '55 100 Fathoms onto a Tropik I had laying around. The shiny, new, black faux-gator it came with just didn't look right!
1655 today. This photo was taken on an acquaintance's wrist at the Marshall Pierce shin-dig a couple of weeks ago!
I figured out that if I push crown in it will advance date. Of course I figured it out after winding 20+ dates. For the price point I think these are fun watches. I wore it for 2 days and very comfortable and really easy to see time. Not so much the date.
Er.... really nice but who's the good looking guy wearing the watch? (I'm a woman -- and I've got my priorities straight )
