@donkii Thank you Under the hood is not bad either (both pics above from its previous owner - credit Duwan) Lemania 2040 (15TL) flyback... and the only type 20 military watch to be signed "type 20" on the bridge
Thats awesome! But, I've seen another one watch with a signed type 20 on the bridge.. let me see if I can find a picture. However, the condition on this one
I'm curious indeed as I thought Auricoste is the only one who did such a mark (?) Below is a Chronofixe type 20 notice ... and my Dodane type 21, civilian model, one of 500ish (around 5000 Dodane military issued, type 20 and 21 included), valjoux 222 flyback, Cetehor 3 stars marks on caseback, "graduation pilote" bezel ... and bridge unmarked
I really like this case shape, its a perfect balance between round and square. Being an Omega only adds to its charm. Wear it in good health.
Pic taken when we were having better weather in Chicago... Just got this back from my watchmaker. I missed it! By the way, John Wanamaker was a prominent Philadelphia-based department store (till it was taken over by Macy's earlier in the century and virtually destroyed like most of their acquisitions). Here is a photo of the famous Wanamaker eagle in the Center City flagship store (with a friend of mine).
Speedmaster Saturday? Everyday is a great day to wear a speedy. The two watches in background are the blue faced speedys from the most recent catalog. While they are nice, just not as nice as the Gemini IV.
My sister's awesome dog, 'Leibe'. She loves sapphire crystal reflections, so she's a bit disappointed now that I'm more into vintage domed!
Thats a wonderful watch as well.. Fantastic condition! However, I haven't had the time to look this up but it might be that I'm a little confused and that you're right
Beautiful sunny Saturday in South America... with my very first Omega buyed 28 years ago. Seamaster 300 165024 - 68
