Today I refreshed the last of my early Autavias by exchanging the boring black Tropic by a colorful NATO strap:

Actually this is a derivative of the Heuer Autavia ref. 7763, the Skipper ref. 7764. The movement is a modified Valjoux cal. 7730.

I'm still searching the correct bezel for this watch, i.e. for the 2nd execution of the Autavia with snap back case.

Cheers,

Mick

donkii, do you keep wearing that just to make me feel jealous? It's not working .... No, it's totally working. I'm jealous. That is fantastic.

I cancelled order on 1 yr old pre owned seamaster. I went to Omega boutique in Regents street, London and got a new one instead. They threw in a free Omega nato. Will post better pics in the light tomorrow.

Really liking that NATO strap!

Have this on today..

Love it! Everything is pared down to a very simple form. No superfluous design elements.

Thanks. I had a choice of orange and black, red and black and just black. I went for red as there is red in the dial. The metal strap is in the box, still has the plastic cover over clasp lol.

I have a similar NATO (of lesser quality) and always thought it'd be cool to find the perfect watch for it - looks like someone else already did! 馃榾

That bracelet's better off with all the plastic wrap, could be worth an extra bit in the future too.

This is the one that started it all. It's possibly an early redial, but I love it nonetheless

If that's a redial, I'm a monkey's Uncle (Buck)!
I know nothing, but are you serious about the redial?
There is usually a tell with the inverted numerals or sub-registers but again, I know nothing.
If it is a redial, I have about a dozen watches I'd like that guy to redial for me!

Haven't been on my wrist for quite sometime, still love the simple and classic look though
