It took four straps on the Speedy before I “settled” on the grey Glomar from WOE; hooray for vacation! Have great days/nights OF.

It’s been a year since my mom passed. I got this watch as she really wanted to buy me one but long term care was eating up her money. I didn’t want to tell her that so I told her I got one. Shortly after she passed it kinda bothered me and I picked up a DJ. Almost got a miglauss but this DJ is nice and low key I’ve only had one person notice it’s a Rolex.

I wondered how I’d feel a year or so out. Should I have gotten a cheaper watch and invested the money?

I don’t regret it. Everytime I see the watch I think of my mother. Only this weekend was it tough as I kinda relived her passing which was tough, Alzheimer’s is a son of a bitch. All other times I remember the pleasant days with my mother and I’m trying to knock out a few trips we planned that we couldn’t do because she became ill.

The watch itself has a very nice feel and is amazingly accurate. More so than a Rolex it’s “mommy’s watch”.

I’m thinking of passing it on to the young fella we are taking care of. I got him a drone for Christmas he was so amazed by it and the quality of the build he is not going to fly it until spring and put it away very carefully for the rest of the winter. What 13 year old does that with a toy? I would have flown it during a blizzard see what happens.

To all our moms living or passed, I hope you had a good one like I did.
