Wearing my Seamaster 300M today on the rubber strap, it just works for an easy day and I never worry about it. The dial still catches me off guard in the best way when the light hits it.
I can't read could you share a pic of the watch on your wrist if it's not too much trouble?
1957 Longines Flagship, 38mm, 30L movement, on burgundy lizard skin strap. I recently acquired the strap and it's much more red than I thought; I think I'll replace it with a dark brown lizard skin strap eventually. I don't think it looks bad, but doesn't really match my dress shoes/belt. I've contacted Longines to request any existing factory records for the watch, I'm particularly interested to see if the dial is mentioned given I haven't been able to find another vintage Flagship with this particular dial. Still waiting to hear back. The balance wheel is improperly balanced so positional variability is extreme (+30ish seconds CD, -30ish seconds DD), but I recently had it regulated nonetheless and the watchmaker is a magician, on wrist it's almost dead neutral somehow. By alternating which position I leave it I can pretty easily keep it within a minute of the actual time indefinitely. When I feel like spending a couple hundred dollars I'll have him rebalance the balance wheel, tho
