I'm not a fan of the "watch that won the war" framing since, obviously, it was actually the men and women who fought the nazis and fascists that won WW2. But if the original A-11 made any contributions to their success, perhaps the modern version can provide inspiration today.

After an extensive period of rating, adjusting, and regulating, my 110 year old Hamilton 992, it is currently running within 10 seconds per week. Close to the best performance since leaving the factory all those years ago. On one of my @DaveK leather mystery braid lanyards. This watch was my late father’s bench chronometer for over 50 years at his bench as a watchmaker.
