I spent a good share of the day making a 300 km round trip to help celebrate a couple’s 60th anniversary soirée. Jeepers it was cold! I wore 3 watches today. One pocket watch and two wrist watches, neither with date feature. So I changed wrist watches when I got home. My Rolex Date-Just (one owner, me) which is 35 years old. It has a date feature. The other is my 1964 (60 years old) Accutron 214 which came to me from @Laneside of Scotland. The case is gold shell over stainless steel. Virtually as new! I rather suspect that a succession of owners had no luck with it as I’m almost certain it has had very little wear. It came to me, rusted, and not running. I serviced the movement, but gave up on it. So I appropriated a donor 214 movement to the cause, and serviced it. No date feature, but I ❤️ it.

I like the cryptic engraving ‘Summer of 73’ and wonder who gave the watch to whom.

Of course, any answers on a postcard … 😀

Same old Seamaster
But i did test wear my wifes Seiko Bellmatic. An inheritance from her uncle, it is her birth year and month.
And finally I got a chance to try my Citizen that she have stolen from me.
Its going to be the Seamaster, happy sun turn to everyone. Today is the shortest day of the year.

Saw this yesterday, and pulled to wear today my 1st gen Special Edition Field Watch produced on 10-1-16 and #0667. They called this their Latte colored dial. Sold through Nordstrom when I bought in 2018 at their "Rack" outlet.
