·I spent a good share of the day making a 300 km round trip to help celebrate a couple’s 60th anniversary soirée. Jeepers it was cold! I wore 3 watches today. One pocket watch and two wrist watches, neither with date feature. So I changed wrist watches when I got home. My Rolex Date-Just (one owner, me) which is 35 years old. It has a date feature. The other is my 1964 (60 years old) Accutron 214 which came to me from @Laneside of Scotland. The case is gold shell over stainless steel. Virtually as new! I rather suspect that a succession of owners had no luck with it as I’m almost certain it has had very little wear. It came to me, rusted, and not running. I serviced the movement, but gave up on it. So I appropriated a donor 214 movement to the cause, and serviced it. No date feature, but I ❤️ it.

But i did test wear my wifes Seiko Bellmatic. An inheritance from her uncle, it is her birth year and month.
And finally I got a chance to try my Citizen that she have stolen from me.
Its going to be the Seamaster, happy sun turn to everyone. Today is the shortest day of the year.
