A favourite. My 70 year old Omega calibre 355, date at 6:00, bumper automatic, “waffle” dial with cross hatching. This watch spent 50 years in pieces in a lozenge tin, along with numerous other bumper automatics (also in pieces). The dial caught my attention, so I delved into the parts bin to find all the pieces were there. But no case! This is it today.
Been on a Seiko kick.
This 1968 Seiko 61036-8010 arrived yesterday, missing bracelet, beat up & dirty.
Sanded & polished the crystal, cleaned the gunk out of the crown so the date would set.
On it's on the wrist today with a vintage JB Champion nylon & stainless rally strap.
Took me awhile but finally decided on my retirement watch. Retired back in January from law enforcement. Gidget my Jack Russell/whippet mix is still on the fence about it. I think she’s still partial to my Speedmaster
