Nice shack. What species of wood do you use for framing? And is that bark on the walls? The floor looks great against that turquoise background !
The frame for the area which is clad is pacific mahogany. What looks like bark is the off cuts of the lumber for the resort as a big proportion of the timber is milled on site. The framing for the shack is bamboo and for the open area is scraps of timber, once again off cuts.

The shack was never intended but started as a work around to being able to live on the land. The path of least resistance馃槉

Change of watch. I just picked this up from the watchmaker this afternoon. It鈥檚 been there for a while. We discovered that there were no springs for the bumper movement and a number of other issues. However, my guy was able to fix all the problems and I鈥檓 quite happy with the result. It鈥檚 a calibre 353 movement, early 50s. (but you all know that anyway!) Bought on eBay for a relatively good price but had to spend a few hundred dollars more to get it back in order.

Too lazy to wind one of my automatics and don't feel like wearing quartz today so it's my flightmaster again.

After a battery replacement is back on duty. Never seen a battery to go to actual zero
Need to tighten the bezel a bit, no idea how, the strap (looks) a bit loose at the pin end.
