From circa 1955. I acquired it about 40 years ago from a retired geologist who had it on his wrist when the helicopter he was in, crashed. Both he and the watch survived. In its 70 years of existence, it has been serviced twice. Once in 1961 (not by me), and again by me, when I acquired it circa 1985. Manual wind, calibre 266, rose gold filled case. I should wear it more often. Diameter ~ 38 mm, suits my big wrist. Bison calf strap.

Awesome watch and story! Even I could wear it comfortably being at 38mm, rare for these older watches.

Eterna Matic Kontiki 20. Ref. 128TT. Not much information available. The watch has a diameter of 36 mm but is one of the few watches that looks smaller than it actually is.

Finally got this bad boy to run after two years of fiddling with its movement. Impossible to set the day and date, but I’m happy.
