·From circa 1955. I acquired it about 40 years ago from a retired geologist who had it on his wrist when the helicopter he was in, crashed. Both he and the watch survived. In its 70 years of existence, it has been serviced twice. Once in 1961 (not by me), and again by me, when I acquired it circa 1985. Manual wind, calibre 266, rose gold filled case. I should wear it more often. Diameter ~ 38 mm, suits my big wrist. Bison calf strap.

·We seldom have such stories behind a watch. Thanks for sharing this and for showing off that this classic is alive and ticking…as its ex owner was after his helo mishap. I’m sure he’s smiling from wherever he is now!
