The watch is a third generation, but manufactured early in the production run (March 1968) just before Seiko updated the bezel. So it's an "error bezel" model but with a "correct" bezel. Also, inexpensive third-party Aqua Terra bands fit remarkably well.
This Longines was a rescue watch bought for cheap off of Ebay 20-something years ago, long before I came aboard Omega Forums. When acquired it had a corroded dial, the numeral seven marker completely surrounded and nearly submerged in evil corrosion. I had the watch serviced and the dial sent off for a redo.
Wouldn't have bothered with the watch if I'd been on the Forum then to learn a bit more about vintage watch value, but the watch is serviceable as a "usin' watch" and it keeps reliable time too. I view it as a success story in its own way when it is chosen for wear.
