The crystal was scratched and needed sanding with h wet dry 800-1200-1500-2000 grit, then polished with 3000 and 5000 automotive polishes. The bracelet was removed and soaked in dawn dish soap and water, then a final polish with a polishing cloth.
Wow! I kinda expected you to say polywatch on the crystal and a toothbrush on the rest. Not sure I have the guts OR the chops to start wet sanding my crystals!!

No.

I have this ridiculous fantasy where I go back in time [via a time machine] to the late 1960s and early 1970s and make my parents buy me two of every Hot Wheels that they had purchased for me…I would play with one and keep the second in the blister pack.

I know what you mean. I did forget to mention that indeed, I did use a toothbrush for the bracelet I've used the process with great success. Keeping the crystal polishing to a uniform finish is a patient process, but very rewarding.
